About the Role

Incepted in late 2014, Sourcing Ops & Analytics (previously Merchandise Support Team) within GAP International Sourcing is entrusted to build data & analytic capabilities including critical initiatives for the organization such as business systems roll outs and related process efficiencies
The team is a unique blend of professionals from Tier 1 B-Schools and Fashion institutes spread across New Delhi and Hong Kong offices & bringing strong experience of Operations & Product Management. The team is accredited with driving large scale impactful projects leading to elimination of 'waste' & making operations more agile & teams more productive.

The team has transformed the highly manual PO (Purchase Order) Management task through innovation, which led continuous improvement thereby streamlining and automating processes & systems- result being accurate & timely release of Purchase Orders to vendors enabling the production timelines to be adhered to.

The team now serves as a central operations team for Gap International Sourcing across all categories, geographies and brands.

What You'll Do

  • Supportad-hocanalysis,auditsofdataandspecialprojects,asneeded
  • Evaluatingbusinessprocesses,anticipatingrequirements,uncoveringareasforimprovement,anddeveloping and implementing solutions
  • Buildrelationshipsandeffectivelypartneracrossvariedfunctionstoinfluencechanges
  • Monitorandevaluatetheperformancelevelswithintheteamwithaviewtoidentifyingwaysofimproving performance levels.
  • Monitorescalationofqueriestoimproveteamserviceandsupport
  • DevelopingofGoals,KRAs&KPIsfortheteammembersanditsimplementation
  • ProvideSubjectMatterexpertiseanddelivertrainingasperthebusinessrequirement
  • Explainsrationaleandprovidessystemknowledgeandbiggerpicturewhiledelegatingjobs


Who You Are

  • 3+ years of experience with good educational background (graduate from a premier institute). Consulting experience and MBAfromTier-1managementinstituteinGeneralManagementorOperationspreferredwill be preferable but not must-have
  • ExposuretoProjectManagementwithattentiontoaccuracyandspeed
  • GoodAnalyticalskillswithattentiontodetailtoderivekeyinsights&theirimpacttothebusiness
  • Excellentwrittenandoralcommunicationandpresentationskillsandtheabilitytoexpressthoughtslogically and succinctly
  • ExcellentMSExcelandMSPower-pointskills
  • Abilitytodriveresultsinahighlyagileandambiguousenvironmentandbeingabletoeffectively&clearly communicate with different levels of stakeholders
  • Comfortableinworkingwithdifferentlevelsofstakeholdersacrossmultipletimezonesandbuildstrongworking relationships with them
