LG Pattern Making & Prototype Manager

Position

Lead and coordinate all pattern‑making and prototyping activities, ensuring the accurate translation of Product Development requirements into technical patterns, prototypes, and industrializable samples. The role ensures technical quality, feasibility, and consistency throughout the entire development cycle.

Job responsibilities

• Interpret Product Development briefs and technical specifications.
• Lead and coordinate pattern makers, prototypists, and sample‑room personnel.
• Plan workloads and priorities based on Product Development timelines and collection calendars.
• Support team development and promote the adoption of advanced tools and methodologies.
• Work closely with Product Development to define construction methods aligned with functional and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with Industrialization to ensure a smooth transition from prototype to production.

Profile

• Solid 10‑year experience in pattern making and prototyping for bags within the luxury industry.
• Strong expertise in pattern‑making and construction techniques.
• Proficiency with CAD pattern‑making software (e.g. Mozart).
• Ability to develop patterns both manually and digitally.
• Solid understanding of materials, reinforcements, and hardware.
• Experience managing the prototype-sample-industrialization pipeline.
