The HR Business Partner, Malaysia is responsible for overseeing the HR function and partnering with the business to deliver proactive, commercially focused, and high quality HR support. Key areas include recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, performance and talent management, training needs identification, HR operations, policy management, and employee relations.
The HR Business Partner, Malaysia will provide recommendations, make decisions, and champion HR initiatives that support long term business plans and positively impact overall results. This role reports directly to the Retail Director, Malaysia and has a matrix reporting line to the HR Director, South Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities
Organisational Effectiveness & Talent Development
- Support Retail leaders on the long-range planning and budgeting process to ensure we have the people and capabilities required for our growth plans
- Partner with market leader on appropriate organization design that supports our business strategy and prioritizes resource allocation
- Partner with Retail Excellence and Retail leaders to launch retail initiatives and enhance Store Productivity
- Champion our Diversity & Inclusion strategy and initiatives
- Partner with managers on OMR and Talent Reviews, succession planning and career development conversations and actions to ensure we have the right people and capabilities for the future
- Drive regular Performance Management and coaching conversations to enhance feedback and increase the possibilities for the business and individuals
- Monitor and provide consultative support on the Performance Management Processes including goal setting, performance calibration, regular coaching and meaningful feedback including training and ensuring feedback is meaningful.
- Give input on training needs and build capability of staff. Provide input to: Tiffany onboarding processes, training on development for manager and their teams, on basis of needs / priority support as a SME e.g. interview training, PMP, Diversity Equity & Inclusion programs.
Manage HR Operations
- Develop and deliver core HR Service excellence, in an effective and efficient manner (Payroll, HR reporting & analysis, Employee benefits administration etc.)
- Manage seamless employee life cycle from offer, onboarding of employees, annual HR processes and off-boarding
- Recruit talent at all levels to ensure business needs are met. Proactively source and create candidate pipelines through internal talent identification, universities presentations, exploratory interviews, networking and actively seeking passive candidates through new technology platforms.
- Coach managers as required on job description development, selection criteria and build capability in quality hiring
- Ensure we are compliant with all Company, labor, legal and government reporting requirements
Employee Relations
- Support the building of positive, trusted relationships between employees, managers, and partners, guided by LVMH Values in daily interactions.
- Build strong relationships with the retail and office teams at all levels
- Help identify themes and trends in HR areas through observations, and conversations, and share insights with management to strengthen engagement and motivation
- Assist in maintaining company policies, procedures, and handbooks in line with employment law and best practice. Provide guidance to managers on updates to Global and Local HR policies
- Provide support in resolving employee relations matters fairly and consistently, ensuring concerns are addressed respectfully and in line with Tiffany values, policies, and local employment law
- Partner with managers to monitor performance improvement processes, offering HR advice and counselling support during progressive discipline
- Collect and analyze turnover and engagement data, prepare summaries, and provide input to HR leadership on potential areas for improvement
Compensation and Benefits
- Identify Compensation and benefits trends, shortfalls and opportunities and provide feedback and recommendations
- Work with Regional HR Director to review and recommend salary package for new hires, promotions, transfers, and current market data to ensure compensation and benefit programs are competitive and retain and motivate our best talent
- Review and propose enhancement of benefits, vendors, and programs to ensure we are competitive, and our compensation and benefits administration and processes are effective and efficient
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 4+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a business partner or generalist role
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law of Malaysia, and compliance requirements
- Experience supporting managers and employees across multiple functions or markets
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels of the business
- Stakeholder management and relationship building skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills; ability to interpret HR data and provide insights
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
Preferred
- Luxury retail experience
- Experience within global, matrixed and/or sales environment
