Menswear Pattern Maker

The position is part of UNIQLO’s R&D Department, which is responsible for commercializing the LifeWear concept—clothing designed to improve everyday life for people of all backgrounds. Designers and pattern makers are based in six global hubs (Tokyo, Shanghai, Paris, London, New York, and Los Angeles), with Tokyo as the central base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pattern-making for a wide range of apparel: outerwear, bottoms, shirts, cut-and-sew, sweaters, innerwear, and loungewear.
• Assignments will reflect your field of expertise. For example, candidates from sports/outdoor brands may work on sports utility wear developed with UNIQLO’s sports ambassadors.

Required Skills:

Required:

• Experience in pattern making for men’s products.
• Ability to manage the entire product lifecycle: planning, patterning, and production.
• Strong communication skills in Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent).
• A practical skill test may be conducted during the selection process.

Preferred:

• Proficiency in CAD software.
• English communication skills at TOEIC 700+ level.
