Balmain has named Antonin Tron its new creative director, succeeding Olivier Rousteing who parted ways with the Mayhoola-backed French fashion house last week after 14 years in the role. The appointment is the latest in an unprecedented wave of designer turnover at Europe’s luxury fashion houses amid a sharp downturn in consumer demand.
